How to complete your discharge form

If you're refinancing your home loan with Unloan, you'll need to complete a discharge form from your current lender. Here's how to get it done smoothly.

Updated this week

1. Getting your discharge form

Your Unloan settlement specialist will help you get started. They’ll either:

  • Email you a copy of the discharge form if we have it, or

  • Let you know how to get it directly from your current lender.

2. Filling it out

Make sure all the details are accurate. Here’s what to check:

  • Loan account number: This is the loan we pay out and discharge.

  • Borrower names: Include everyone listed on the current mortgage.

  • Settlement date: If the form asks for one, choose a date at least two weeks from today to give everyone time to prepare. Our settlement agent will confirm the date with you.

  • Settlement agent details: You can enter the details of our agent, found below:

    • Name: Unloan/FMS

    • Contact Number: 1300 360 757

    • Postal: GPO Box 2699, Adelaide SA 5001

3. Signing the form

  • All borrowers must sign the form.

  • Check if your lender accepts electronic signatures. If not, print the form and sign it with a pen.

4. Sending it off

  • Email a copy of the completed form to your Unloan settlement specialist. We’ll review it and get your settlement underway.

  • Send a copy to your current lender, following the instructions on the form. Keep in mind that some lenders need 10–15 business days to process your discharge form.
