The purchase settlement process with Unloan

Important things you should know about documents, booking your settlement, preparing your funds and what happens next.

Updated this week

What happens after your home loan is approved?

Once your loan’s approved, our team will get in touch to explain the process and help you sign and upload the required documents.

If you applied with a co-borrower, each person will need to log in to app.unloan.com.au using their own email address to sign.

We’ll also need your conveyancer’s details so we can work with them to lock in your settlement date.

What documents will I need?

To keep things moving, you’ll need to upload:

  • A copy of your building insurance certificate (unless your property is covered under a strata scheme)

What happens next?

Once we’ve got everything, we’ll work with your conveyancer to confirm your settlement date. If you’re asked for evidence of your loan approval you can download a copy of your loan contract from app.unloan.com.au. Alternatively, you can forward your approval email.

Important:

We don’t handle the extra funds needed to complete your property purchase. If you require additional funds for settlement, please work with your conveyancer to transfer the funds to their account before your settlement date, allowing enough time for daily transfer limits and processing times.

How do I track my settlement status?

Once your settlement is booked, our team will look after the process and keep you updated via email and SMS.

You can also track your progress anytime by logging into app.unloan.com.au. From there, you’ll be able to:

  • View your settlement status

  • Chat with our team if you need help

What happens after settlement?

We’ll send you a ‘Settlement Completion’ email with a breakdown of your settlement. If you have questions about your settlement breakdown, contact our team or your conveyancer.
